Preview: Encounters at the End of the World + The Guardian Interview with Werner Herzog
We are delighted to welcome a true icon of world cinema to the BFI Southbank stage. In this special evening Werner Herzog will take part in the Guardian Interview to mark his acceptance of the inaugural BBC FOUR World Cinema Achievement Award. Prior to the on-stage event we will have a preview screening of Encounters at the End of the World, his first documentary since Grizzly Man. Accompanied only by his cameraman, Herzog travelled to Antarctica, meeting the men and women who have dedicated their lives to furthering the cause of science, working in the most extreme, and beautiful, environment on earth.

Craig is a retired superhero, an obsessive hobbyist, comics fan, gadget lover & flâneur who knows an unhealthy amount about Ian Fleming's James Bond. When not watching or making films he takes pictures whilst mentally storyboarding the greatest film ever made. He also sometimes utilises owl-themed gadgets to fight crime.
