The Establishing Shot: Film fans across the UK rejoice: Jameson Cult Film Club is back - Film Festival

From sharks in the Thames and cyborgs at a techno rave to blood-sucking vampires at Halloween, 2012 looks set to be the best yet JCFC season yet! Jameson Cult Film Club is delighted to announce its next season of incredible, immersive film screenings, bringing the best in cult film to even more locations, as only Jameson does best.

- 2012 Jameson Cult Film Club screening line-up announced: cult classics including JawsThe Terminator and Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula, all to be screened this year
- Screenings will return to London, Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham as well as Newcastle for a first visit
- Series to launch with immersive outdoor screening of Jaws in London with a 70s-inspired beach party
- Free tickets will be available from the box office at
- Further films for 2013 to be announced later in the year

For the uninitiated, Jameson Cult Film Club screens cult films in unique locations across the UK, transporting audiences into cinematic worlds of fun, fear and fantasy. From September 2012, Jameson will tour around London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and add a new city for 2012, Newcastle – treating film fans to screenings of the best cult films, brought to life in amazing locations.

To kick off the series, Jameson are inviting London guests to spend an evening on ‘Amity Island’, to enjoy Spielberg’s shark-filled spectacle, Jaws.

Guests are invited to attend a 70s beach party ahead of the screening at the Greenwich Yacht Club, where beach-goers will mingle at a BBQ with the odd passer-by looking for their missing dog and of course, a killer shark! Moving on to Liverpool, the beach party will continue at the Albert Dock and Merseyside Maritime Museum, but guests will need to keep their eyes on the water at all times, searching for that sinister fin. The film will be screened from the digitally remastered and fully restored Blu-ray, giving audiences the chance to experience this cult classic on the big screen in a quality never seen before.

Moving in to October, Jameson Cult Film Club will be visiting Manchester and for the first time, Newcastle. Manchester film fans will be treated to an 80s techno rave at Victoria Warehouse for a screening of the Arnie classic, The Terminator.

Surrounded by homeless people from the Dystopian future, roller-blading chicks in neon jumpsuits and a sinister individual in a leather jacket, guests will be transported back to the 80s for this special screening, followed by a rave at Manchester’s hottest night spot.

For Halloween, Newcastle film fans will experience the weird and terrifying world of Francis Ford Coppola’s Dracula. Residents of Newcastle prepare yourselves as we’ve got some truly shocking moments for you throughout the film and no-one is safe from the evil eye of the vampires.

Guests are advised to bring vampire protection with them – crosses and garlic usually do the trick to ward off the wicked creatures of the night.

More films will be announced soon, including the ever-popular Future Cult screening, which brings guests the latest films that could be perceived to be the next great cult film of the future. Film fans should head to to keep up to date with the club’s latest film news and to apply for free tickets at the box office.
