London Film Academy CompetitionHot on the heels of yesterday's Met Film School's Screenwriting Contest. Today we give you the heads up on another brilliant film-making competition from Empire Magazine, BlackBerry Torch and the London Film Academy.

You can either win a place at 1 of 2 exclusive Cinematography or Acting for Directors workshops to be held on Saturday 19th of February in London. Or win 1 place on 1 of the 30 courses that that the London Film Academy runs.

There’s something for every would-be filmmaker among the courses up for grabs at the LFA. If you’re pressed for time, there are weekend courses in directing, cinematography, editing and writing that will give you professional advice to get you started.
There’s also a 6-week long series of evening classes in Acting for Directors, a 5-day Documentary Foundation to get your real-life films off to a good start, and a Filmmaking Foundation Fortnight to give you even more grounding. Or, if you’re really lucky and determined to make this your career, you could win the Filmmaking Certificate, a 4-week full-time course to really give your hopes a boost.
