Met Film School CompetitionThe Met Film School is London's leading provider of practical filmmaking courses, based at Ealing Studios. They deliver a range of full-time and part-time courses all taught by working film industry professionals.


They are not just a school. They are part of the Met Film group consisting of the school, Met Film Production and Met Film Post. Unlike any other film school we are completely integrated within the film industry. Met Film Production develops and produces a number of feature films each year and Met Film Post is a leading post-production business, specialising in end-to-end sound and picture post.

All students finish the final online grade and sound mix on their graduation films in our professional post-production facilities, ensuring the highest possible production standards

The Met Film School are offering one lucky aspiring writer a place on their Write a Feature Film screen writing course starting on March 05, 2011. All you have to do is send them a 100 words (or less) synopsis of your ideas for a script or story you'd like to develop. Send your ideas to: contest@metfilm.co.uk by February 18, 2011

Met Film School - Screenwriting Contest
Calling all aspiring screenwriters! We have a great competition prize up for grabs; a free place on our Write a Feature Film (part-time) screenwriting course starting March 05, 2011. This part-time course is for people who are truly dedicated to the idea of writing an excellent script that has genuine potential to be made into a feature film.

Please note, to complete this course you must be over the age of 18 and available from March 05, 2011 until August 02 2011. The course will take place every other Saturday (10am - 5pm).

How to enter?
Just send us a brief synopsis of 100 words or less with your ideas for a script or story you'd like to develop. Submit your entries to contest@metfilm.co.uk by February 18, 2011.

Who can enter?
- Those 18 years or older at the start of the course
- Residents of the UK or EU or have a valid visa to live here
Please read our rules:
- The competition will commence on Monday 01 February and end on Friday 18 February 2011
- The winner will need to fill out our enrolment form & send it (email/fax/post) along with a copy of their passport
- The place is only offered for the Write a Feature Film course that will take place on 05 March - 02 August 2011
- Submitted work must be original, owned entirely by the entrant and cannot currently be under option, sold or produced
