Bond in Motion London Film MuseumC continuing my adventures at the Bond in Motion exhibition at the London Film MuseumBeyond the first room in the cavernous underground level - the museum has been expanded and walls have been put in to divide the underground into displays areas by Bond film. But two distinct grouped display areas have also been created - one for marine vehicles and the other housing mainly non car vehicles, with the large remainder of the exhibition spread out along the sides of a walkway categorised by film. There are many more pictures from the day over here! and part 1 of my write up can be found here! and part 3 here!

Further still, a restaurant area with smaller models on display, a museum shop and still being constructed on the day I visited a dedicated games room.

I'm guessing when the exhibition is open to the public it would make sense to walk along the right side along the walkway the entire way round as the car & model displays are on either side, or navigate via the audio guide I stick to the right side to check out the Die Another Day vehicles; James Bond's Aston Martin V12 Vanquish or Vanish as Q calls it, Zao's Jaguar XKR and the Bombardier MX Z-REV Ski-Doo.

Various display cases run down the middle of the walkway housing smaller props such as personal items from the James Bond films including James Bond's drivers license (a nice touch), original scripts, Timothy Dalton Bond passport from The Living Daylights, Pierce Brosnan's Bond passport from Die Another DayDaniel Craig's Arlington Beech alias passport from Casino Royale, Eva Green Vesper Lynd HM Treasury Business Card.

Giancarlo Giannini Rene Mathis'  passport from Quantum of Solace (I presume), Olga Kurylenko's Bolivian agent Camille Rivera Montes driving license, two Omega watches (not one Rolex in sight), an Aston Martin key fob, a black leather wallet with a James Bond Black American Express card and James Bond's Universal Exports business card tumbling out of it, a silenced a Walther PPK, a thin black tie, a Douglas Pell money clip filled with Dollars.

Never before displayed in the UK pieces like; Vesper Lynd's (Eva Green) Stephanie Broadchest alias passport from Casino RoyaleDaniel Craig's Tom Ford Orbis Non Sufficit Coat of arms cufflinks from Skyfall, Bond's evaluation report form Skyfall, and the special effects remote control gadget box for the Aston Martin Vanquish and Jaguar XKR from Die Another Day with both cars in full battle mode right next to it.

I continue to the The Living Daylights display which includes James Bond's ice prepared Aston Martin V8 and Kara Milovy's (Maryam d'Abo) cello case sled. A little later when Maryam d'Abo was viewing the The Living Daylight display I asked if I could get a picture of her with "her" cello case. Sadly but unsurprisingly the notoriously camera shy Ms. d'Abo politely declined.

The walkway leads into a large area that housed the (mainly) non car vehicles of Bond that included; the iconic autogyro Little Nellie from You Only Live Twice, the Citroën 2CV from For Your Eyes Only, the Tuk-Tuk Taxi from Octopussy, half of the Renault 11 Taxi from A View to a Kill, both Bond's Honda CRF250R and Patrice's Honda CRF250R from the Skyfall opening chase, the BMW R12OOC from Tomorrow Never Dies, the Cagiva 600 W16 from GoldenEye's opening sequence, a favourite of mine the Montesa Cota 4RT from Quantum of Solace and one of the Parahawk's from The World Is Not Enough.

It is here you will find the 007 photo booth where one could get a stylised gun barrel photo of yourself dressed as James Bond or a Bond Lady.

At this point I managed to catch up with Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the London Film Museum Jonathan Sands. I knew Jonathan was a Bond fan and his proud and beaming smile said it all.

Our chat went something like this:

Congratulations and well done! I have to say The Bond in Motion exhibition is exceptional.
Jonathan Sands: Thank you so much. It's been a lot of hard work.

You must be proud! What does it means for you to have the Bond in Motion exhibition here at the London film Museum?
Jonathan Sands: Well I grew up with bond and was part of the Roger Moore generation, so to have its actually all around me, and to integrate all these beautiful models, props scripts and art that are so integral to the production is like a dream come true.

The venue really lends itself to the talent [cars] and obviously being in central London I am enormously proud it's just like being a very proud dad. It's wonderful to see people enjoying it and the smiles on the faces.

How long do you intend to host the Bond in Motion exhibition?
Jonathan Sands: Well, certainly a year, maybe more that will all depend on its  success. If people keep coming, will keep it running.

Be honest have you sat in the car?
Jonathan Sands: Ha, ha I have sat in the car. I have sat in all the cars as we had to position them.

Heading back out I pass the Tomorrow Never Dies display, with the missile armed BMW 750 IL,Q's (Desmond Llewelyn) Quentin Quigley disguise Avis jacket as well as a scale model of the 750 crashed into the Avis car rental to the left of the display.
