Not soon enough we are getting another dark gift from the team redefining the horror genre for modern audiences with films like Sinister, Paranormal Activity & The Conjuring. This time the other half of the Wan/Whannell (the guys behind Saw and Insidious) creative duo Leigh Whannell is stepping into the director's shoes (as well as writing and acting) to tell this "origin" part of the Lambert's hauntings - alluded to previously in the Insidious series.
It looks like we are going to finally see how psychic Lin Shaye (Elise Rainier) met a young Josh Lambert for the first time in Insidious: Chapter 3. Surely it should be called Insidious: Chapter 0?
This chilling prequel, set before the haunting of the Lambert family, reveals how gifted psychic Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl (Stefanie Scott) who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.
Leigh Whannell's Insidious: Chapter 3 will be scaring its way into UK cinemas this Friday 5 June 205. To mark the occasion Entertainment One are giving away 5 ghost hunting goody packs, consisting of some cool gear that every fashion (and ghost conscious) trend setter will be keen to get their hands on.
