Special screening of Far North and Q&A with Asif Kapadia

After a screening of his latest film Far North, we welcome director Asif Kapadia onto the stage to discuss his career and to answer your questions.

With thanks to Soda Pictures.

Part of a planned series of films exploring the four points of the compass and four years in the making, Far North marks a stunning return to a more personal form of cinema for BAFTA-winning director Asif Kapadia. Adapted from a short story by Sara Maitland, this is a dark epic tale set in the harsh beauty of the Arctic. Saiva (Michelle Yeoh, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Anja (Michelle Krusiac) are two women struggling to survive on the frozen wastes. One day a lone figure, Loki (Sean Bean), appears on the ice and collapses and Saiva nurses him back to health. The two women then begin to compete for his affections – with tragic and terrifying consequences…
