Bond 24 SPECTRE LocationIt's been 16 years since Robbie Williams released his chart topping single Millenium off the album I've Been Expecting You. That would make it 16 years since I first heard who Robbie Williams is.

Being a Bond fan I instantly liked Millenium a catchy aspirational song that sounded like nothing else at the time and it referenced John Barry's You Only Live Twice James Bond theme without directly sampling it. I wasn't wild about Vaughan Arnell's cheeky Bond parody video for Millennium initially but sometimes a bit of everyman Bond is better than no Bond at all.

Video: Robbie Williams - Millennium

Presumably for Williams the significance of the title of You Only Live Twice was that after his split with Take That he, against all odds, was making a comeback as a solo artist. You have to hand it to Williams he is perseverant and went on to sign the largest solo record deal at the time.

Robbie Williams is a big Bond fan as most men of his generation and it looks like he hasn't given up the ghost of James Bond just yet as he has put his tuxedo back on for his role as Brand Ambassador for Café Royal coffees and plays a Bond like character in their beautifully Secret Agent advert. Not only is he the new brand ambassador and star of the advert but he wrote the theme song Bully used in the Secret Agent advert which you can download for free from http://secretagent.cafe-royal.com/index

In the advert we see Williams take to the road, sky and sea in the service of good taste. Over in France the advert was part of a campaign that built up to this video revealing Robbie Williams as The Secret Agent - over in the UK we got this surprise advert.

Delicate missions, seductive indulgence, concentrated action. And of course: Nothing but good taste.
The secret agent has a mission to achieve.

Robbie Williams - Bully
Never test the temper of a patient man
You've been tryin to be understood & boy do I understand
When you die, the world's gonna be lighter
See the heart of the champion, thru the, eye of the tiger

I simply don't care, if you hate me or love me
Pass me the pistol; shoot the bully
hooo haa..##..hooo haa..##..hooo haa..##
The bully the bully the bully the bully
hooo haa

Had to hurt myself!
Shot myself again!
I can't make it up!
The bully, the bully, the bully, the bully

I'm 'amake it go away -------- 'a.. is short for gonna
I'm 'amake it disappear
Hell is empty mama; the devil's here
Look at you walkin round like you're some kind of gen i us
Feel the steel, go tell it to jesus

I've seen your soul; man it's so ugly
C*ck the pistol; shoot the bully
hooo haa..##..hooo haa..##..hooo haa..##
"the bully, the bully, the bully, the bully
hooo haa

Had to hurt myself!
Shot myself again!
I can't make it up!
the bully, the bully, the bully, the bully

I've seen your soul; man its so ugly
If they wanna know, tell them;
I shot the bully
hooo haa .. ##..hooo haa ..##.. hooo haa ..##
The bully, the bully, the bully, the bully
