Dew Barrymore's directorial debut Whip It has been getting rave reviews, everyone loves this film and the BFI have brought an early preview to London.

Texan teen Bliss (Ellen Page, Juno) is completely over the beauty pageants her mum drags her to, so when she encounters some roller girls on a trip to Austin she is intrigued. She soon finds herself bowing out of the cute speeches and prom dresses clique to follow a new love. Whip It will make your heart race as you follow Bliss on her adventures in roller derby, romance and choosing between her old and new lives.
