Nokia Lumia 900 The Dark Knight Riseshave been away for the last couple of weeks and missed a bunch of stuff. So this is a catchup post - just before I jetted off an email landed in my inbox giving me the heads up on the release of the  limited edition The Dark Knight Rises Nokia Lumia 900, available exclusively from Phones 4u.

Not only do these limited edition Nokia Lumia 900s come with a number of special features including: Microsoft’s latest Windows Phone 7.5 software iteration, a fully customisable Live Tiles homescreen, a host of intuitive native apps including: Internet Explorer 9, Nokia Drive and Nokia Music as standard. A 4.3-inch super AMOLED display and an exclusive iconic Batman logo laser etched into the jet black polycarbonate rear case. As well as - The Dark Knight Rises Nokia Lumia 900 allows you to access exclusive Dark Knight Rises content: Browse your phone in all Gotham’s shadowy greatness with a limited edition black and grey skin. Download the exclusive Claim Gotham City! Game and take part in the Foursquare powered territory war between Batman and Bane which allows further exclusive media to be unlocked including: wallpapers and ringtones to complete The Dark Knight experience.

But wait that's not all, if you head over to and use the IMEI number from the Limited Edition Nokia Lumia 900 you can win free cinema tickets as well as the chance to attend The World Premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in London.

If you read The Establishing Shot you'll know I received 20/40 of the the very special Nokia Lumia 800  The Dark Knight Rises Edition a little while back.

So after re-reading the email I took my Batphone off it's stand, unwrapped it and logged into Microsoft Marketplace to see if I could download The Dark Knight-Rises app. Hey presto it worked!

I discovered the following The Dark Knight Rises Nokia Edition Trailer:>

Check the trailer out on the Nokia Player over here: for a cool Bat suprise.

There are 3 ringtones; The Batmobile starting up, a Crowd Rise Chant and the Batmobile passing by very fast.

A number of Nokia Lumia 800 The Dark Knight Rises Edition wallpapers:

After a quick play I racked up 250 points an unlocked: a Batpod making a quick manoeuvre ringtone, a Gotham City crumbling wallpaper, a close up of Batman's suit, and a Catwoman Wallpaper.

Later in the day I received a notification that another real time strategy game ‘The Fire Rises’ had been released online over here:

And a Tumbler designer app was also available online here: as well as samples from The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack can be heard here:

The Dark Knight Rises release date: The Dark Knight Rises will be released on the 20 July 2012
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive.  Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good.  For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda.  Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile.  But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.
