As part of reed.co.uk’s commitment to support new talent and provide opportunities for career development, former nominees Brooks and Laroche were hired to direct a commercial for a major television campaign as part of the Love Mondays campaign. Starring actor and comedian Rufus Jones (Hunderby) as Captain Reed, an intergalactic space traveller who has the power to change people’s lives by changing their careers, the campaign will roll out nationwide from 30th September on primetime slots across all broadcast channels. Previously the duo won a public voted competition to create a commercial for the company. Their winning entry, Super Reed, aired on terrestrial television earlier this year.

Paul Weiland, Director and long time RSFC supporter said:
"There are numerous short film competitions but very few that reward filmmakers with such a serious commitment to making their next production a reality. The reed.co.uk Short Film Competition is an important and vital support to filmmakers, not only for the winning director(s), but for all involved. Jon and Mat’s success lends itself as proof that this competition truly is a platform for emerging talent."
