Win Chuck Norris Blu-raysLast night I saw a puntastic bad ass film I can’t talk about yet or even mention by name, but it featured a fitting homage to the original Lone Wolf, the walking weapon that never runs out of ammunition and never misses. In the film Chuck Norris revisits the character of Booker, the role he played in the very first Chuck Norris film I ever saw - Good Guys Wear Black or as you may know it Black Tigers. If you have seen the film you will no doubt remember the incredible stunt where Chuck does a high kick into the windscreen of the car trying to ride over him. Outstanding!

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED THANKS

To commemorate the wave of nostalgia that washed over me a I watched we are giving three lucky action fans the chance to win, not one but two Chuck Norris films – A Force of One the one where Chuck Norris hears the silence. He see's the darkness. He's the only one who can stop the killing as well as the one where Chuck Norris is Scott James, who must face the Ninja, the unholy masters of terror in . . The Octagon. Both on stunning high definition Blu-ray for the first time - a technology Chuck Norris invented so we could watch his films in high definition.

The original “Expendable”, the undisputed toughest guy on the planet and the only man ever to have counted to infinity – twice, the second time backwards! – World Karate Champion turned actor Chuck Norris stars in these two classic, groundbreaking US kung fu movies, now on Blu-ray for the first time.

We're celebrating the release of  A Force of One and The Octagon (Anchor Bay) which arrive on DVD and Blu-Ray on 6th August. Make sure you don't miss out!
If you are visiting to enter the competition to win Chuck Norris approves.

It is no secret that during my younger years I had a penchant for bad ass films from the 80s that featured cool, Lone Wolf type guys driven by their own mysterious (and sometimes not so mysterious motivation) to take on a much larger group of opponents (especially if there is a dystopian future involved) but before the heady heights of classics like; Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior, Escape from New York, The Thing, The Challenge, The Terminator, Streets of Fire, Rocky IV, Highlander, Raw Deal, Lethal Weapon, Predator, RoboCop, The Punisher, Marked for Death, Death Warrant there were real tough guy films like; Rolling Thunder, Point Blank, Dirty Harry, Enter The Dragon and pretty much anything with Franco Nero and Charles Bronson in it.

But bridging the two period’s one man stood tall. A genuine tough guy and martial arts champion Chuck Norris. A man who started his film career by fighting Bruce Lee as the hired tough guy in Way of the Dragon. He went on to make many archetypal tough guy films, whose fast punching (kicking & chopping) and shooting set the bar for action film like; Breaker! Breaker! (“One Man Makes a Difference”), Good Guys Wear Black (Black Tigers) (“Once he was their spy now it’s kill or die. Chuck Norris is John T. Booker and Booker is fighting back.”), A Force of One (“He hears the silence. He see's the darkness. He's the only one who can stop the killing.”), The Octagon (“Only one man can stop them.”), An Eye for an Eye (“Chuck Norris doesn't need a weapon... he is a weapon !”), Silent Rage (“Science created him. Now Chuck Norris must destroy him.”), Forced Vengeance (“He doesn’t have to look for trouble, he is trouble), Code of Silence (“The world’s toughest cop just got tougher”) Hero and the Terror (“Heroes hit hardest.”) and one of my favourite film of all time, the classic revisiting of The Lone Ranger with Chuck Norris as the original Lone Wolf in  Lone Wolf McQuade where he goes up against David Carradine (The 'Mad Dog' Criminal...The 'Lone Wolf' Lawman...The Ultimate Showdown.)

Around this point Chuck must have realised there was no one left to beat up, no more criminal organisations to crush so he aimed his effort at conquering the kiddie market. But this is the opportunity to own two classic bad ass Chuck Norris films remastered in high definition as never seen before.

 A Force of One
A routine investigation by a crack team of undercover narcotic agents becomes anything but when a deadly assassin begins to eliminate the members of the squad one by one. In a desperate bid to identify the culprit, and to train its officers in the martial arts in order to defend themselves, the police force attempts to enlist the help of Matt Logan, a noted karate champion.

I apologise for the low quality of the   A Force of One  trailer but Chuck has obviously detroyed all the high quality one as they displeased him somehow.

The Octagon
In The Octagon Chuck Norris plays Scott James is a man haunted by memories, eerie flashbacks that plague both his waking and sleeping hours. The first is a childhood memory relating to the intense and rigorous combat training he and his best friend endured under the guidance of a mysterious martial arts master. The second is a far more painful recollection of loss, and one that has turned Scott away from his former life.

But when a wealthy heiress convinces him to enter the fray once more, Scott finds himself drawn into an international terrorist organisation consisting of deadly ninjas, at the head of which is a close acquaintance from his past. Now it is up to Scott to confront his worst fears and battle a former adversary in the ultimate ninja showdown.
