THE ESTABLISHING SHOT MAY 2012 BIG SCREEN RELEASES:

THIS WEEK’S RELEASES FRIDAY 11 MAY 2012

The Movie Preview guide is a pretty handy breakdown of this weeks and upcoming releases as well as film news. Head over to http://www.moviepreviewguide.com/ to check it out.

All In Good Time (12A)
All In Good Time is a hugely warm-hearted comic tale adapted for the big screen from the Olivier award winning play Rafta Rafta by Ayub Khan Din (East is East) and directed by Nigel Cole (Made In Dagenham, Calendar Girls). Centred around a close knit, larger-than-life British Asian family living in present day Bolton, All In Good Time stars Reece Ritchie (The Lovely Bones) and Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited) as Atul Dutt and his young bride Vina for whom the first taste of married life is proving far from straightforward.

Director: Nigel Cole Starring: Reece Richie, Amara Karan, Meera Syal, Harish Patel

Beloved (15)
Director: Christophe Honore Starring: Catherine Deneuve, Chiara Mastroianni

Cafe de Flore (15)
Cafe De Flore is first and foremost an epic love story between a man and a woman. And between a mother and her son. Two people from two different eras who live two extraordinary moments of passion that shake their lives. A mystical and supernatural odyssey of love.

Dark Shadows (12A)
In 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, to start a new life in America. Two decades pass and Barnabas has the world at his feet - or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. Barnabas is rich and powerful... until he makes the mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique. A witch, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire and then burying him alive. Two centuries later, Barnabas is freed from his tomb and emerges into the world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets.

Director: Tim Burton Starring: Johnny Depp, Evo Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz, Michelle Pheiffer

Faust (15)
Faust is not adaptation in the usual sense but rather a 'reading of what remains between the lines'. Faust here is a thinker, a mouthpiece for ideas, a transmitter of words, a schemer, a daydreamer. An anonymous man driven by simple instincts: hunger, greed, lust. Sokurov asks us to question how this literary character informs our understanding of those previously studied abusers of power. How an unhappy life can lead some to be seduced by monstrous ideologies

Director: Aleksandr Sokurov Starring: Johannes Zeiler, Anton Adasinsky, Isolda Dychauk

THE ESTABLISHING SHOT NEW TRAILERS:
Chariots of Fire
Chariots of Fire tells the story of two very different men who compete as runners in the 1924 Paris Olympics: Eric Liddell is a devout Christian who believes that his athletic abilities are a gift from God, and that using that gift to its fullest extent - to win the gold medal - will be his way of repaying that gift. Harold Abrahams is an English Jew, a student at Cambridge, who dreams of fame and of proving to his anti-Semitic fellow students, and to the world, that Jews are in no respect inferior. Their motives are noble. Their commitment is total. Their integrity is unquestionable. They will both make personal sacrifices to achieve their goals. In the process, through all the obstacles and personal issues they conquer, they prove that striving for victory in their own terms is, perhaps, its own reward.

Video: Chariots of Fire - New Trailer

Based on a true story, CHARIOTS OF FIRE was the winner of four Academy Awards®, including Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay, in addition to receiving nominations for three more. Chariots of Fire will be re-released into cinemas on July 13th

Video: The Expendables 2 Trailer - In Cinemas August

Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) -- with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard -- are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time -- six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that's nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way....

The Expendables 2 releases August 2012 from Lionsgate

How will she explain away the confusing urges that Tommy doesn't understand? Chilling answers unravel as Rebecca deals with the consequences of her decision to never let go.
