With the recent exit of Edgar Wright from Ant-Man we have been thinking back how Jon Favreau's Iron Man brought Marvel into the future as well as into the mainstream consciousness - paving the way for their ongoing cinematic success. There were very strong rumours that Iron Man 2 was rushed and Favreau had to shoehorn all sorts of stuff into the film. Favreau's return to the Marvel universe was as an actor only role in Iron Man 3 playing the oddly Happy Hogan, comedic side kick - although its unlikely anyone could have pulled it of with as much charm as Jon Favreau it was a criminal waste of his talent. We can't help but think what the inspiration behind Chef was? Everyone seems very happy with Jon Favreau's return to smaller more personal projects.

When Chef Carl Casper (Jon Favreau) suddenly quits his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant after refusing to compromise his creative integrity for its controlling owner (Dustin Hoffman), he is left to figure out what's next. Finding himself in Miami, he teams up with his ex-wife (Sofia Vergara), his friend (John Leguizamo) and his son (Emjay Anthony) to launch a food truck. Taking to the road, Chef Carl goes back to his roots to reignite his passion for the kitchen -- and zest for life and love.
